Job Description

Step Into the Trantorque Cell Picture this: you badge in, review the day's work orders, and head to your CNC lathe. You confirm presets, dial in offsets, and swap a worn insert before the first cut. Parts come off the machine on spec, you verify dimensions with measurement tools, and move product through finishing, assembly, and packaging—keeping a clean, 6S-organized station the entire time. When priorities shift, you pivot smoothly, ask for help when it matters, and keep scrap to a minimum. That's a day in the life of a CNC Turning Cell Operator at Fenner Precision Polymers, a Michelin Group company. About Fenner Precision Polymers We power critical applications across industries. Our culture is built on safety, innovation, continuous improvement, and a shared dedication to excellence—where teamwork, adaptability, and a positive environment help everyone thrive. What You'll Do Manufacture high-quality Trantorque products by performing presets, set-ups, and operating CNC lathes plus PLC/CNC secondary equipment. Measure parts, make offset wear adjustments, and change worn tools promptly. Conduct visual inspections to validate product quality requirements. Run vibratory and assembly operations; complete finishing, packaging, and material handling. Read and interpret work orders and comments to ensure accuracy. Follow ISO work instruction standards after training and sign-off. Tune equipment and processes to meet specifications; proactively seek help to minimize scrap. Maintain a clean, organized, 6S-compliant workspace. Embrace change to support internal and external customer satisfaction; adapt to shifting priorities. Champion safety by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions; foster a collaborative, positive team culture. Perform other duties as assigned and uphold Precision Polymers' values and behaviors. What You Bring High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (1-3 months preferred). Previous CNC operating experience. Comfort with measurement tools and an eye for detail. Ability to read technical documents and work orders. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Team-first communication style; adaptable and eager to learn. Initiative, positive attitude, and readiness to take on new responsibilities. Growth Ahead High performers can advance to an Operator II role—expanding into additional belting lines, basic setups, and secondary functions, with greater responsibility and influence across operations. Rewards & Benefits Competitive pay with shift differentials and bonuses. Day-one Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. 401(k) match immediately vested with the company. 100% Paid Parental Leave. Michelin Stock Purchase Program. Michelin Tire Rebate Program. Career development in a global organization. A culture built on Trust, Respect, and Empowerment. Ready to Build What's Next?
