Machine shop in Mount Joy, PA is looking for a CNC operator on 1st shift. Get to work with brand new CNC Mills making parts for a wide variety of industries. $20-25/hr DOE Job Description This role offers the opportunity to operate CNC mills and lathes in a clean, modern, and growing manufacturing environment. You will load fixtures, run CNC equipment, and inspect precision‑machined parts made from stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic. The position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys hands‑on work, values accuracy, and wants to develop skills alongside an experienced CNC machinist. Responsibilities Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high‑quality components according to specifications. Load and securely set up fixtures, materials, and tooling on CNC equipment. Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Verify that all parts meet required tolerances, dimensions, and quality standards. Perform basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and consistency. Work with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic components. Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions to complete jobs correctly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and standard operating guidelines. Collaborate with the other machinist to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating CNC mills specifically on Haas equipment. Familiarity with blueprint reading beyond basic drawings. Interest in learning advanced CNC machining techniques under the guidance of an experienced machinist. Willingness to contribute to process improvements in a growing shop environment. Why Work Here? The schedule follows a Monday through Friday day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering consistent daytime hours. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and precision, with modern CNC technology and measuring tools used daily. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Joy, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
