CNC Machinist / Machine Setup Operator

LabelMill is looking for an individual to add to their team! An additional position is currently available for a CNC machinist. Technical schooling in this area is preferred, but not required. LabelMill is a modern machine shop with an environmentally controlled work area, utilizing all new and current Haas CNC's. CNC Programmer/Machinist Duties and Responsibilities Apprenticeship and OJT position also available Participate in daily preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule while complying with all safety rules and regulations. Develop CNC programs for production runs Modify existing programs for different machines Make manual program adjustments as necessary Strong knowledge of G - Codes and M - codes for CNC machines. Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, printed circuit board pattern films, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.

Setup CNC machine including:

selecting jaws, setting work, changing tools, touching-off tools, inspecting and changing inserts, loading correct program, and adjusting tool offsets Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests. Determines sequence of operations in a program. Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency. Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes. Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task. Revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved. Load various materials including aluminum, steel, and plastics among others Properly complete required paperwork Ability to lift 30 lbs throughout an 8-10 hour shift CNC Programmer Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Completion of a technical or associate degree program preferred Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills Familiarity with Haas Control hardware and software Basic math skills Prior experience is preferred, but not required.'
