HONING OPERATOR

This position is located in Seneca, SC working 7:00AM-3:30PM. Pay Rate starts at $16.00/hr. Competitive benefits are offered through ETCON Employment Solutions at the time of hire.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Operate Honing machines to hone internal and/or external surfaces of metal parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Honing Machine Operator duties include dry blasting and liquid vapor honing parts prior to plating them to meet specifications. Obtain information such as number of parts to run from job order and follow instruction given by Department Supervisor. Lift workpieces manually or with hoist and secure the parts into place. Starts machines and adjusts tools as necessary for optimal honing results. May assist Honing Setter to set up machines. Keep work area clean and organized at all times.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Prefer machine operating experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending and squatting may be required for moving parts to and from Honing machines, ability to see, hear, and speak.

Slip Resistant Safety-Toed Shoes, Goggles, Standard Safety Glasses, Gloves, Ear Plugs, Aprons.
