Cnc Machine Operator

Aerotek is seeking experience CNC operators for a manufacturing company near Lexington, TN. Only 2nd or 3rd shift positions are available. 3:30pm-10:30pm OR 10:30pm-7:00am Monday-Friday. Description CNC Machine operator, you will reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Utilize blueprints to set metrics in CNC and program per engineering metrics Set up machines, break down machines, perform preventative maintenance, and replace basic components to ensure production continues Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality assurance on manufactured products. Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade. Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation using micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with a powered hand tools. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces. Perform minor program changes , properly save and check them. Machine operators are to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces. Must be comfortable operating hoists and cranes to move product as needed throughout shift Rivets and/or spot welds workpieces as needed Additional Skills & Qualifications 2-5 years of experience strongly desired - candidates can be considered with TCAT machine tool program or equivalent (Not maintenance) Experience with digital micrometers and calipers required but manual can be taught Experience from job shop or manufacturing in a relatable field (cnc, machining, technical machine operations, etc. ) Proficient with reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings for metrics (MUST HAVE) High school diploma or GED required Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50814.00 - $55895.00/yr. Health, Dental, Vision. 401k Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Lexington,TN.
