This position is responsible for setting up and operating manual and automatic-feed band saws while supporting downstream machining operations. The ideal candidate will be quality-focused, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple machines while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Month Assignment Schedule:
Night Shift, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Overtime as Needed Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic-feed band saws. Monitor and manage 2-3 saws simultaneously while maintaining quality and production standards. Read and interpret blueprints, routers, work orders, and cut lists. Calculate cut lengths and material utilization using basic shop math. Adjust feed rates, blade speeds, and cutting parameters based on material type and size. Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Load and unload material using overhead cranes and lifting equipment. Support CNC lathe and mill operations by maintaining material flow. Deburr, polish, clean, and stamp finished parts. Perform blade inspections, blade changes, and routine machine maintenance. Identify quality concerns and nonconforming material. Maintain accurate production records and a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing, machining, metalworking, or saw operation experience. Experience setting up and operating manual or automatic-feed saws. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions. Experience using measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. High sense of accountability and excellent attendance. Preferred Experience managing multiple machines simultaneously. Experience with overhead cranes and material handling equipment. Experience supporting CNC machining operations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Regular lifting of materials up to 40 lbs. Must wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Overtime may be required based on production demands.
