Job Description
CNC Operator-$23-30/hr Job Description This role focuses on setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines to efficiently and safely produce high-quality parts and materials. You will interpret technical drawings, translate instructions into machine commands, and ensure that each part meets precise specifications. Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work with advanced CNC equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines. Read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications. Load programs, tools, fixtures, and materials. Interpret G-codes and M-codes. Run test programs and monitor production. Inspect, measure, deburr, and finish parts. Operate CNC mills and lathes. Perform machine checks and basic maintenance. Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Work overtime and handle physical lifting as required. Essential Skills 3+ years of manufacturing experience. 2+ years operating 5-axis CNC machines. Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and Fanuc controls. Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. Strong GD&T knowledge and inspection skills. Proficient with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators. Basic CAD/CAM and CNC programming knowledge. Computer skills, including Excel. Strong math, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Technical/Vocational machining training. Experience in aerospace, medical, defense, or precision manufacturing. CAD/CAM experience. Forklift certification. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Desoto, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60840.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
