Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CNC Set Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality firearm barrels and components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, precise machining, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Set up CNC machines according to technical specifications and production requirements for firearm barrels and components. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining parameters. Load raw materials and fixtures securely into CNC equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. Monitor machine operation during production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and precision. Perform routine inspections of machined parts using measurement tools such as calipers and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation or tooling to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Document setup procedures, machine adjustments, and production data accurately for quality control purposes. Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Set Up Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with CNC programming, tooling, and machine maintenance is preferred. Experience working with firearms or firearm components manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools. Ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and effectively. Attention to detail with a focus on producing precise, high-quality parts in accordance with strict specifications.
Pay:
$23.32 - $28.08 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
