CNC Operator Micro Matic - 2.2 San Antonio, TX Job Details 20 hours ago Qualifications Inspection gauge Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measurement-based inspection Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Blueprint specification interpretation Monitoring dimensions Machining fixtures Shop math High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Holding fixtures proficiency Precision measurement in machining Cutting machines Full Job Description responsibilities: Set-up and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously without routine Will be expected to cross-train on all CNC equipment. Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of Interprets basic dimensions on a print and loads, unloads and inspects parts while maintaining dimensional tolerances within specifications. Accurately utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins and depth micrometers. Detects equipment malfunctions and/or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to ensure quality of production. Reports machining problems to supervisor for assistance. Maintains a clean work area, including equipment, and observes all safety Follows documented operator procedures including but not limited to inspection check sheets and operator notes. Performs other duties as needed and requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience in setting up multi-axis CNCs; preferably routers, horizontal milling, and/or vertical milling machines. CNC programming is a Knowledge and use of precision measuring instrument, including but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and Understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines. Must be able to cross-train and run multiple machines simultaneously. Must possess basic math skills including, but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication and Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing Must be available to work overtime as required.
