CNC Machine Operator | Hyde Park, UT Nexeo Staffing is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a growing machine shop team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with previous CNC or machine shop experience who can operate equipment independently and maintain high-quality production standards. Recent machining program graduates with strong technical knowledge are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with blueprints, precision measuring tools, CNC equipment, and tight-tolerance parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions. Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments. Adjust tooling, machine offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize machine performance. Identify and monitor tooling requirements and tool wear. Edit CNC programs and make machining adjustments when necessary. Secure workpieces using fixtures, clamps, and other holding devices. Perform routine machine maintenance and basic equipment upkeep. Complete production documentation accurately and on time. Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements. Operate powered industrial equipment as needed. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications Previous CNC machine operation or machine shop experience required. CNC machining experience strongly preferred. Machining program graduates may be considered in lieu of experience. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Understanding of tooling, tool wear, feeds and speeds, and machine offsets. Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and improve production efficiency. Familiarity with CNC program editing preferred. Experience interpreting CMM reports is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools. Ability to work with fractions, decimals, and basic measurements. Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, kneel, climb, push, and pull throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
