Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Press Operator Assistant, where your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will help drive precision and efficiency on our production floor. In this vital role, you will support press operators by preparing machinery, handling materials, and ensuring quality standards are met. Your proactive approach will contribute to a safe, productive environment where manufacturing excellence is the goal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in various machining and fabrication processes while supporting the creation of high-quality products. Duties Assist press operators with setup, calibration, and operation of flexo presses, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming tools. Handle materials using forklifts and other materials handling equipment to ensure smooth workflow within the manufacturing facility. Prepare tooling and fixtures for different presses, including press brake machines and fabrication tools, adhering to safety guidelines. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical manuals to support accurate production runs. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout manufacturing processes. Support machining operations by assisting with CNC programming (including CAM programming), CNC lathe work, and CNC milling tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during assembly line activities and materials handling. Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, especially in machining or fabrication environments. Familiarity with mechanical tools, hand tools, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations. Knowledge of blueprint reading, CAD software (such as SolidWorks), and CNC programming techniques is a strong plus. Experience operating machinery such as stamping presses, press brakes, CNC lathes, milling machines, or similar equipment is desirable. Ability to work effectively on an assembly line while maintaining attention to detail in quality control tasks. Basic understanding of tooling setup, welding processes, materials handling equipment like forklifts, and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting. $21.90 - $26.38 per hour
