CNC Setup / Operator
  • Aerospace Manufacturing We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup / Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team.

  • 3-Axis CNC Vertical Mill Haas VF-5
  • 3-Axis CNC Vertical Mill with 4th-Axis Add-On Fanuc Robodrill
  • CNC Machining Center We are looking for a CNC Setup / Operator who is comfortable working with 3-axis CNC mills and has experience with, or the ability to learn, 4th-axis machining .
Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision aerospace components Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T Set work offsets, tool offsets, tooling, and workholding Load and verify CNC programs and make appropriate program adjustments Select and install cutting tools based on material and machining requirements Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, and dimensional issues Maintain tight dimensional tolerances and consistent part quality Complete required production and inspection documentation accurately Follow established work instructions, procedures, and quality requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Meet production schedules while maintaining aerospace-level quality standards Qualifications Previous CNC setup and operating experience in a precision manufacturing environment Aerospace machining experience strongly preferred Experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC mills Experience with 4th-axis machining is a plus Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience setting tool and work offsets Ability to make basic CNC program edits at the machine Proficient with precision measuring equipment Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious Experience working with tight tolerances and complex components preferred Preferred Experience Haas CNC controls Fanuc Robodrill CNC milling 4th-axis machining Aerospace manufacturing Machining aluminum and stainless steel Experience working within AS9100 or other aerospace quality systems Experience with inspection documentation and traceability requirements What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can set up a job, prove it out, make necessary adjustments, and run quality parts with minimal supervision . The right candidate should be comfortable reading a print, selecting and setting up tooling, setting offsets, inspecting parts, and troubleshooting issues at the machine. Aerospace manufacturing requires consistency, precision, and accountability. We want someone who takes ownership of their work and understands that quality comes first .
