Updated 09/08/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring CNC Operators in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This full-time, 2nd shift opportunity supports Trace-A-Matic, a stable and growing precision manufacturing company known for complex machined components, clean facilities and a strong employee-focused culture. This role is ideal for CNC Operators with machining experience, mechanical aptitude, solid math skills and the desire to grow in a fast-paced production environment. Position Overview The CNC Operator performs operation and setup of complex machined components for a variety of industries. This position supports production by operating machine tools, making offset adjustments, reading basic blueprints, running multiple machines and helping ensure finished parts meet print specifications and quality standards. 10 paid holidays Service-based PTO Gainsharing program Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance On-site fitness center On-site medical clinic Weekly pay Company-provided uniforms Safety shoe allowance Performance merit raises Climate-controlled environment Free employee coffee Relocation assistance Essential Job Duties Operate machine tools and perform offset adjustments to ensure parts meet print specifications using written setup instructions Perform repetitive machining tasks with consistency and attention to quality standards Read and interpret basic blueprints Correlate blueprint specifications with inspection protocols and documentation requirements Assist in the setup of machine tools under the guidance of experienced machinists Apply foundational knowledge of machining techniques and control functions to support production operations Run multiple machines simultaneously within a production cell to maximize throughput Utilize working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to support accurate part production Mentor and train operators on repetitive machining tasks to promote skill development and process consistency Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals Qualifications High school diploma required CNC technical diploma preferred 2 or more years of machining experience Proficiency with required measuring equipment for assigned work Solid math skills Strong mechanical interest and aptitude Willingness to learn and grow Ideal Candidate Profile Comfortable working in a precision machining environment Able to follow setup instructions and production documentation Detail-oriented and quality-focused Mechanically inclined with a strong interest in CNC machining Able to support repetitive machining tasks with accuracy and consistency Willing to learn from experienced machinists and grow within the role Able to contribute to team and production goals Authorization Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
