Position Summary The Coil Fed Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring coil-fed stamping presses to produce high-quality metal components. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality in alignment with K&S Manufacturing's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Set up and operate coil-fed stamping presses, ensuring proper alignment, feed rates, and tooling.
Quality Control:
Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and compliance with specifications.
Safety & Maintenance:
Follow all safety protocols, perform routine equipment checks, and report maintenance needs.
Production Efficiency:
Monitor coil feed systems to minimize downtime and material waste.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records, including part counts, inspection results, and machine logs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with tool & die makers, engineers, and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing preferred. Prior experience operating coil-fed stamping presses or similar equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
