Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mill Operator to join our growing machine shop team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating and programming Hurco CNC machines, a strong understanding of machining processes, and a commitment to precision and efficiency. This position also offers the opportunity to take on a shift leader role for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain Hurco CNC milling machines. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications. Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs (Conversational and G-code) as needed. Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines and tools. Train and support junior machinists as a mentor and potential shift leader. Collaborate with the production team to improve processes and efficiency. Qualifications 5-10 years of CNC milling experience, with a focus on Hurco machines. Proficiency in programming and setup of CNC mills. Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
