Job Description

The Company:
Schunk Carbon Technology is a manufacturer of high-volume carbon/graphite components and molded thermoset parts that are used in a wide variety of electrical, mechanical and thermal applications. We are located in Menomonee Falls and have 90 employees. Although we operate independently, we are part of the Schunk Group, a worldwide company headquartered in Germany, with over one billion in sales annually and diverse operations in 26 different countries.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a quality-minded mid-level CNC Operator who can run production on our Fanuc-controlled CNC machining centers. Secondary operations include a variety of manual machines. The product we manufacture is electrical brushes. 2nd shift position, 2pm to 10pm, M-F. However, training for the first 30 to 60 days will occur on 1st shift.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time production experience on CNC machining centers
  • Mid-level ability to perform your own offsets and tool changes (not programming)
  • Industrial math skills and able to read drawings
  • Ability to follow specific work instructions
  • Maintain quality and output standards
  • Possess a high performance and continuous improvement mindset This is a one-person CNC operation on 2nd shift.
However training for the first 30 to 60 days will occur on 1st shift. Once fully trained, you will move to 2nd shift and be responsible for the production of electrical brushes including output and quality of product. For that reason we need a responsible and resourceful operator with prior CNC machining skills.
