CNC / Robot Operator

Job Summary Arcways, a national custom stairway designer & manufacturer, with 60 years of industry leadership, is looking for highly skilled and motivated CNC / Robot Operators to join our gifted team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines and robotic equipment to produce high-quality wooden staircase components efficiently. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor our

KOMO CNC

machine and our KUKA Robot. Edit G-code and tooling dimensions. Read blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical measurements to ensure absolute precision. Build hardwood blanks to create unique stair treads, handrailing, and much more. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and robotic systems to prevent downtime and extend machinery lifespan. Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling materials, tools, and machinery in the manufacturing facility. Assist with building complex, custom-designed wooden stairways within our shop. Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setup, fabrication processes, and materials handling. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotic systems in an automated manufacturing setting. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control inspections. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently on fabrication tasks.

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
