Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision threaded components. Your expertise in machining processes, technical skills, and commitment to quality will drive the success of our production operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily utilizing Mazatrol to thread / repair threads on oilfield drill pipe and casing. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and edit existing programs for optimal efficiency and accuracy Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration to maintain optimal operation levels Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, deburring, or secondary operations as needed Requirements Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a production environment - pipe threading, repairs CNC programming experience a plus Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and fixture setup Basic math skills including measurement conversions, tolerances, and calculations related to machining operations Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges Join our team if you're passionate about precision!
