Job Description

Benefits:
Competitive salary Paid time off Small family production machine shop looking for CNC Lathe machinist/programmer. 4 DAY
WORK WEEK - NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS!
PTO, $38-42 per hour/40 hours a week.
Duties:
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T, and customer requirements . Plan out the most efficient machining process. Determine the best workholding and tooling for each job. Set up and program Lathe. Perform First Article inspection of parts, make necessary changes, then operate the job to completion. Create and maintain set up notes, work instructions, and inspection reports. Deburr parts if necessary. Prepare parts for subsequent operations, or clean and package for delivery.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience with Mazak CNC lathes and bar feeders preferred . Strong understanding of CNC lathe tooling, workholding, speeds/feeds, and machining processes through a variety of metals and plastics. Ability to take a job from engineering drawing and raw material through setup, first article, and production with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to stand and operate machine for hours at a time. Ability to read and interpret blueprints on a variety of part types. Ability to fill out inspection reports.
Perks and Benefits:
Paid time off Monday - Thursday work week, 6 am - 4 pm. Overtime optional and available frequently. Compensation may go up depending on experience and qualifications.
