We are an award-winning and rapidly growing design/fabrication company looking for an experienced CNC programmer to join our production team and take ownership of the machining portion of our workflow. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning a digital design into a reliable, efficient manufacturing process. You will work between Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, and Homag WoodWOP 8, preparing CNC programs from design models and production requirements and supporting those programs through the machining process. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking through the entire process—from 3D model to toolpath to finished part—rather than simply generating code. The Programming Workflow You will be responsible for taking parts and assemblies from design through CNC production, including: 3D Model / CAD Drawing → Inventor → Fusion / CAM → CNC Program → CNC Machine → Finished Part Responsibilities include:

• Review 3D models and manufacturing requirements in Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare geometry and manufacturing data for CNC programming.
• Create and optimize toolpaths using Autodesk Fusion.
• Develop and edit CNC programs using Homag WoodWOP 8.
• Determine appropriate machining operations, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies.
• Program routing, drilling, pocketing, profiling, dadoing, mortising, and other operations appropriate to the machine and material.
• Account for material thickness, workholding, tool access, sequencing, and machine limitations.
• Verify toolpaths and programs prior to production.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues at the machine.
• Work directly with CNC operators to improve programs and resolve production problems.
• Optimize existing programs for cycle time, quality, repeatability, and material efficiency.
• Maintain organized programs and revision-controlled manufacturing files.
• Document programming and process improvements.
• Support new product development, prototypes, custom work, and production jobs. Must-Have Qualifications We are looking for someone who has:
• Professional experience with CNC programming in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and 3D CAD models.
• Experience using CAD/CAM software to create CNC toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining strategy.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and determine the root cause of machining issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, repeatable parts.
• Ability to communicate effectively with CNC operators, engineering, and production personnel.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Fusion Preferred Experience The following experience is highly desirable:
• Homag/Stiles CNC equipment and software
• CNC woodworking, or architectural millwork
• Cabinetry or furniture manufacturing
• High-mix or custom manufacturing
• Production routing and drilling
