HAAS CNC

lathes with live tooling. This position requires more than basic machine operating experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable independently setting up jobs, running production parts, making machine-level adjustments, inspecting their own work, and maintaining quality throughout production.

Responsibilities:

Set up and run

lathes with live tooling Independently perform machine setups for assigned jobs Install and set tooling, workholding, fixtures, and inserts Set and adjust tool offsets and work offsets Load and verify the correct CNC program before running production Review blueprints, programs, setup information, and travelers before starting a job Run first pieces and verify dimensions before continuing production Make machine-level adjustments to offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed Monitor tooling for wear and replace or adjust tooling as necessary Maintain required dimensions and tolerances throughout production Run multiple CNC machines as needed Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and basic production issues Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments Pre-check and inspect your own parts before submitting them to Quality Control Identify and report out-of-tolerance parts or quality concerns immediately Complete job travelers accurately throughout each operation Record completed quantities and required production information Keep travelers with the correct job and parts throughout production Follow traveler requirements before moving parts to the next operation Communicate immediately when there is an issue with a part, program, tooling, machine, drawing, or traveler Communicate job status, delays, and production concerns to the appropriate team members Work closely with Quality Control, programmers, management, and other machinists Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow company safety, quality, and production procedures

Requirements:

Previous CNC lathe setup and machining experience Hands-on

HAAS CNC

lathe experience strongly preferred Live tooling experience required Ability to independently set up and run parts Working knowledge of G-code and M-code for machine-level adjustments Ability to adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets as needed Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T Experience working with tight tolerances Experience using precision measuring instruments Ability to pre-check and inspect your own parts before submitting them to QC Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail and quality Good communication skills Ability to communicate problems and ask questions when instructions or specifications are unclear Comfortable running multiple machines Dependable with reliable attendance Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to cross-train and assist other team members Additional Experience Is a
