Founded in 1987, this precision manufacturing company employs roughly 150 to 200 people across multiple facilities, with approximately 40 to 60 team members based at the Irvine location. The company specializes in high precision machining, complex CNC milling, mill turn operations, and tight tolerance component manufacturing. The Irvine facility focuses heavily on multi axis CNC milling, mill turn machining, prototype to production runs, and high complexity parts for aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, and industrial technology clients.

The CNC Programmer Machinist will play a key role in programming, setting up, and producing precision machined components using advanced 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines and mill turn lathes.

Job DutiesProgram multi axis CNC equipment using Mastercam for 4 and 5 axis milling and mill turn lathes, ensuring efficient toolpaths and optimized cycle times.

Perform complete machine setups including first article runs, tooling selection, work holding, and verification of machining operations.

Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to produce high precision components that meet aerospace and medical grade tolerances.

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues, support root cause analysis, and maintain strict compliance with customer specifications.

Manage job flow and scheduling on assigned machines to meet production deadlines and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required and Preferred Skills5+ years CNC programming and machining experience with strong proficiency in Mastercam for multi axis milling.

Hands on experience with 4 and 5 axis mills and mill turn lathes, including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D models in SolidWorks; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Strong problem solving and attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus.
