This position is ideal for a highly skilled programmer who thrives in a production environment, takes pride in precision work, and can independently manage complex machining projects from setup through completion. Responsibilities Program, setup, and optimize CNC mills and/or lathes for production and prototype work Create and modify toolpaths using CAM software Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for efficiency and accuracy Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the shop floor Work closely with machinists and management to maintain quality and delivery schedules Improve cycle times and manufacturing processes where possible Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards Qualifications Minimum 10 years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and setups Proficient in GeoPath and/or Esprit preferred Open to candidates experienced with other CAM systems Ability to independently program complex parts from print or CAD model Experience with prototype and short-run production work preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Preferred Skills Multi-axis machining experience a plus Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or similar controls CAD/CAM workflow knowledge Strong communication and teamwork skills What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Stable, long-term opportunity Friendly and hardworking shop environment Opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing operation
