Metal Industries, Inc. | Full-Time | On-Site | Connecticut Metal Industries is looking for an accomplished CNC manufacturing professional who is ready for more than simply programming or running machines. We are investing in people, equipment, technology and additional manufacturing capacity as we enter our next stage of growth. We are looking for a hands-on leader who combines strong Mastercam programming and precision machining expertise with the ability to lead people, manage workflow, solve problems and continuously improve how work moves through the shop. This is not a desk-only management position, and it is not simply a CNC operator position. What You'll Do

• Program CNC equipment using Mastercam CAD/CAM software — strong Mastercam capability is essential.
• Develop and execute machining processes for complex, close-tolerance components from prints, models or samples, including tooling, workholding, setups, feeds, speeds, inspection requirements and toolpaths.
• Lead, coach and develop machinists while maintaining high expectations for quality, productivity and accountability.
• Manage workflow, production priorities, scheduling and deadlines within your area of responsibility.
• Make sure people, machines, tooling, materials and programs are ready so work keeps moving.
• Identify roadblocks early and solve problems before they affect quality or delivery.
• Improve setup time, cycle time, machine utilization, labor efficiency and overall throughput.
• Support complex jobs from programming and process development through setup, first article and successful production.
• Use job performance and cost information to continually improve results. What We're Looking For
• Significant hands-on CNC machining, setup and programming experience.
• Strong Mastercam CAD/CAM programming experience — not simply G-code programming or editing.
• Ability to independently develop machining strategies for complex, close-tolerance parts.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds, setup strategy, inspection and precision manufacturing.
• Experience leading, supervising, mentoring or directing other machinists.
• Ability to organize work, establish priorities and manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
• Demonstrated history of improving processes and manufacturing efficiency.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Desire to take ownership of results and help build a growing manufacturing operation.

Experience with CNC milling and turning, multi-axis machining, CAD/modeling, process engineering, ERP systems or manufacturing automation is a plus. Leadership With Support This position carries meaningful responsibility, but you will not be expected to carry the company on your shoulders.
