CNC Programmer
LOCATION
South Windsor, CT No Remote TYPE Direct Hire ID CT43-2755991 POSTED Jun 29, 2026 We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and the ability to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and multi-axis machines Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models Select appropriate tooling, cutting methods, and machine parameters Set up and prove out new programs on CNC equipment Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams Ensure all programs meet quality standards and specifications Maintain organized program documentation and revision control Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience with lean manufacturing principles Knowledge of various materials (metals, plastics, alloys) Familiarity with tooling design and fixturing Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of CNC programming experience Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Creo, Windchill, and Vericut) Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming Experience with multi-axis machining preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
