Okuma Mill-Turn, Tsugami Swiss, Mastercam, PartMaker Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill-Turn & Swiss Turning Manager & Programmer to lead our advanced manufacturing department on the 1st shift Monday through Friday. In this dual leadership and technical role, you will oversee production workflows, manage a dedicated team of machinists, and program complex geometries. You will also play a critical role in our business growth by accurately quoting and estimating new project opportunities while maintaining strict compliance with our ISO quality systems.
Key Responsibilities Quoting & Estimating:
Analyze customer RFQs, engineering drawings, and specifications to estimate cycle times, material costs, tooling requirements, and labor for new contract opportunities.
Advanced Programming:
Program, set up, and optimize multi-axis configurations for advanced Mill-Turn and Swiss manufacturing processes.
Software Mastery:
Utilize Mastercam for Mill-Turn centers and PartMaker for Swiss applications.
Asset Management:
Maximize the performance, setup efficiency, and utilization of our Okuma multi-tasking centers and Tsugami Swiss lathes.
Department Leadership:
Schedule, manage, and mentor a high-performing 1st shift team of CNC machinists and operators.
ISO Quality System Compliance:
Champion and enforce all machining processes to strictly align with
Absolute proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints, interpreting advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and executing exact machining specifications.
Estimating Experience:
Proven capability to accurately quote new work, calculate cycle times, and determine manufacturing feasibility from engineering data.
Expert Software Skills:
Robust, hands-on programming experience using both Mastercam and PartMaker software.
Machinery Expertise:
Deep technical knowledge and operational familiarity with Okuma Mill-Turn centers and Tsugami Swiss lathes.
ISO System Expertise:
Strong operational experience working within strictly audited ISO 13485 and AS9100 environments.
Leadership Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of successful experience managing, leading, or supervising a precision machine shop floor.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
