Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs that drive precision machining operations. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components using advanced CNC milling machines and lathes, contributing to our commitment to manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CAD/CAM software, and a passion for precision engineering. Duties Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and blueprints to understand geometric dimensions, tolerances, and design data. Write or generate code using CAD/CAM software to program CNC mills, lathes, and routers. Calculate appropriate feeds, speeds, and machine settings. Select the proper cutting tools and design efficient fixtures or work-holding equipment. Setup and operate CNC mills, lathes and Haas machines. Perform dry runs and test cuts. Adjust cutting paths, zero/reference points, and offsets to eliminate errors and optimize production. Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to ensure they meet exact blueprint tolerances. Create detailed setup sheets and instructions for machine operators. Collaborate with engineers to optimize "design for manufacturability" Mentor and train junior machinists Skills High school diploma or GED. Previous work experience as a CNC programmer. In-depth knowledge of computer and information systems Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise Ability to read and interpret design blueprints. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
