The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision parts and components. This role is critical in supporting the company's operational needs while optimizing efficiencies and quality within the aerospace industry. •Compensation starts at $110,000.00 and is based on experience•
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Develop CNC Programs :
Create and optimize CNC programs for various machines including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
Blueprint Interpretation :
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining requirements.
Setup and Operation:
Assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines to ensure accuracy and efficiency of production.
Tool Selection :
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and holders for each job to maximize efficiency and quality.
Process Optimization :
Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle times, enhance quality, and minimize waste.
Quality Control :
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments. Make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Troubleshooting :
Diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machining processes.
Collaboration :
Work closely with machinists, engineers, and other team members to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of programs, tool libraries, and setup sheets. Update and revise documentation as needed.
Safety Compliance :
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
Education:
Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code), CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, CAMWorks, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and experience with various CNC machines.
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues. Attention to
Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in programming and machining.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document processes.
Preferred:
Aerospace industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
