In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of precision machining, operating and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality components. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, translating engineering drawings into precise machine instructions. Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate parts. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when required. Use hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment to assist with setup adjustments or assembly tasks as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine logs, and quality control reports to ensure traceability and continuous improvement. Skills Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or equivalent for part design review. Experience with CAM programming to generate tool paths for complex machining operations. Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T specifications. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques. Familiarity with precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. Knowledge of safety protocols related to CNC machining environments including the use of tooling, hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and lean manufacturing principles. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
