Job Description:

Estimate CNC machining costs by reviewing blueprints, customer requirements, machining time, raw materials, and subcontract service needs for precision machined parts. Job Responsibilities Review customer blueprints and requirements to estimate CNC machining costs Estimate machining time required to produce precision machined parts Estimate raw material requirements Estimate subcontract service requirements Prepare estimates for planning, lead times, and work scheduling Review quotes for accuracy and completeness Consult with customers, vendors, and internal personnel to resolve estimate-related issues Work with engineers and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Use CAD/CAM software knowledge to support machining cost estimates Use Microsoft Office and Excel to prepare, review, and maintain estimate information Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of mechanical parts cost estimation experience for CNC machining CNC machine shop background Experience in a stand-alone CNC machine shop or CNC machining department within a larger manufacturing company Experience reviewing customer blueprints and machining requirements CAD/CAM software knowledge Microsoft Office experience, including Excel Computer proficiency Experience reviewing quotes Preferred Skills GD&T knowledge Precision machined parts estimating experience Raw material cost estimating experience Subcontract service estimating experience Experience consulting with customers, vendors, engineers, and subcontractors CNC machining planning or scheduling experience Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
