A CNC Programmer programs computer-controlled equipment used to cut wood, plastic, or metal according to precise measurements, or equipment used for different manufacturing processes.
High School or GED Diploma required - Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming, and operating a CNC machine Experience programming in Master CAM /Feature CAM or equivalent Experience modeling in SolidWorks/SolidEdge Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines Mathematical skills and blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities Read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes Due to the nature of the position, must be a US citizen or legal to work in the United States. Employer will conduct a background check and drug screening. Set up, plan and execute complete machining operations working from engineering drawings on all CNC production machines. This position is responsible for producing fixtures, tooling and component parts. Responsible for knowledge required to program CNC equipment as well as to utilize CAM programs for multi-axis milling, multi-plane machining, surface machining and turning.
Duties:
