In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC lathe programs to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards in Aerospace and Defense sectors. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and mechanical principles will drive efficiency and accuracy in our machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects while working with state-of-the-art equipment and software. Duties Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using Gibbs Cam, ensuring optimal machining sequences and tool paths. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Utilize Gibbs Cam to create or modify part models and generate programs for CNC lathe operations. Set up and operate CNC lathes, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration are in place before production runs. Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine settings; optimize programs for lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and cycle times. Maintain detailed documentation of program revisions, setup procedures, and inspection reports; ensure compliance with safety standards and schematics. Experience Proven experience programming CNC lathes with Fanuc controls in a manufacturing environment. 5+ year experience. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software including Gibbs CAM. Understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings. Ability to apply lean manufacturing practices to improve machining efficiency and reduce waste. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent math skills for precise calculations related to geometry and tolerances. Join us in pushing the boundaries of manufacturing excellence!
