Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. Your expertise in Mazatrol controls and ability to interpret technical drawings will be crucial to your success. Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs for Mazak Lathes, ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes. Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, including tool selection and machine calibration, to produce high-quality parts. Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, applying geometric tolerances to ensure parts meet precise requirements. Use precision measuring tools to verify the accuracy of machined parts, maintaining tolerances within .001 inches. Collaborate with the shop team to troubleshoot machining issues and improve overall production efficiency. Adjust machine speeds and feeds to optimize machining productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming, specifically with Mazak Lathes and Mazatrol controls. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Strong knowledge of tool layout and setup procedures for various machining operations. Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Preferred Skills Experience machining large, refurbished parts. Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate radii, bolt circles, and other dimensions. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
