•35HR DOE We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join one of our manufacturing clients in Elk Grove Village. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and precision machining. Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes. Create, edit, and modify CNC programs directly at the machine control. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings. Select tooling and perform complete machine setups. Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to optimize production. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment. Perform routine machine maintenance. Work closely with engineering and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes. Qualifications Must have experience programming directly at the machine control. Experience with Fanuc controls preferred. Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T. Experience performing complete machine setups, tooling changes, and troubleshooting. Proficient with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs. Metal machining experience required. Welding experience is a plus but not required.
