Job Description

CNC Programmer Stop Pushing Tribal Knowledge. Start Creating It. You're not looking for another "post and go" production programming job. You want to get your hands on complex parts, real strategy, and the kind of multi-axis work that actually stretches your brain. This is that role. The Role in One Line Own the path from print to prove-out on complex, tight-tolerance parts—and grow into the go-to CNC programming brain on the floor. What You'll Actually Do Program advanced parts in TopSolid for 3-, 4-, and entry-level simultaneous 5-axis work. Support mill-turn / turn-mill platforms with live tooling and secondary spindle operations. Choose tooling, speeds/feeds, and strategies—with guidance when needed and autonomy as you grow. Verify programs in simulation, then be there for prove-outs on the machines. Take parts from print review through first article, working side-by-side with machinists. Troubleshoot chatter, tool wear, finish problems, and dimensional drift—then bake the fixes into the program. Turn "we've always done it this way" into clean setup sheets, tool lists, and repeatable processes. Build reusable programming methods and templates that make future work easier and safer. Progress from "strong contributor" to "this is the person we call when it's tricky." Who This Is For You'll fit this role if you: Have 3-6 years of CNC programming or advanced setup experience in precision machining. Know your way around an advanced CAM system (TopSolid is ideal, but cross-training is available). Have at least some exposure to 4-axis or 5-axis indexed machining and machine prove-outs. Can read engineering drawings and apply basic GD&T in real life—not just theory. Are hungry to get deeper into 5-axis, mill-turn, and complex work instead of repeating the same easy parts forever. Like being on the shop floor, not hiding in an office. Bonus points for mill-turn or live-tool lathe experience, aerospace/tight-tolerance work, and a genuine curiosity about how to cut smarter, not just harder. Why It's Worth Your Time Base pay roughly in the $75,000-$95,000 range, depending on what you bring. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Company-paid short- and long-term disability and life insurance. Hire-on bonus and 401(k) with company match. Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays. Tuition assistance, employee assistance program, and gain sharing bonuses. Weekly paychecks, a 10% second-shift differential if applicable, and little perks like quarterly food/treats. This is a structured development seat, not a dead-end chair: the expectation is that you grow into a technical authority on complex machining. How to Raise Your Hand When you apply, include: A quick snapshot of your CNC programming/setup experience (years, @types of machines, CAM used). Examples of the most complex parts or processes you've programmed or supported. Any exposure you have to 4/5-axis, mill-turn, or aerospace/tight-tolerance work. If you're ready to stop asking "how do we do this?" and start defining the answer, this is where you do it. Please submit a resume for consideration .
