Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Programmer / Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC metal fabracation machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure efficient machining processes, adherence to technical drawings, and continuous improvement of production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing with a focus on precision, safety, and innovation. Duties Develop and write CNC programs based on detailed blueprints and technical schematics. Set up CNC machines ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration for each job. Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring machine performance throughout production runs. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate machining. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD to review designs and suggest manufacturability improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation of machining parameters, inspection reports, and process adjustments for quality control purposes. Qualifications Proven experience programming and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing and programming parts. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, geometry calculations, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams; basic electrical knowledge is advantageous. Strong math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. Join our team if you're passionate about precision manufacturing!
