Full-time CNC Programmer Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer to support both new and existing production in a fast-paced machine shop environment. This role is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs, as well as supporting shop floor operations to ensure parts are produced efficiently and to specification. This position works closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Lead Machinists to develop machining strategies, troubleshoot production challenges, and improve overall process efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving between programming, setup support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

• Create new CNC programs based on work instructions, prints, and part-specific requirements including designing and programming fixtures with from the team
• Modify and optimize existing programs to improve cycle time, tool life, and part quality
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and Lead Machinists to troubleshoot machining and process issues on the shop floor
• Provide daily programming and technical support to production personnel
• Develop and maintain accurate tool lists, setup sheets, and program documentation to reflect proven processes
• Review upcoming jobs to ensure programs, tooling, and documentation are aligned prior to release to the floor
• Participate in process planning meetings for new parts, contributing to machining strategy, tooling, and work holding decisions Qualifications
• 5 years of experience CNC Mill programming minimum (Fusion 360 preferred, not req'd)
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, including speeds/feeds, tooling selection, and work holding
• Experience working with a wide range of materials, including plastics, stainless steels, 6000/7000 series aluminum, and nickel-based alloys
• Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and management to meet production goals
• Experience with 4th/5th axis machining and Okuma controls

Pay:

$30.00
