Nights Position Summary:
Produce and repair forging dies by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.Key Responsibilities:
Setting up CNC mills by installing tools, fixturing, setting work offsets, etc.... Maintains specifications by observing cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming CNC machines. Utilizing overhead cranes for loading workpieces into CNC machines. Documents actions and verifies process adherence by completing process documentation. Maintain sanctity of the workspace through the enforcement of 5s principles. Maintains safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements (PM), troubleshooting minor maintenance issues, and calling for repairs. Accomplishes departmental goals by taking ownership of the machining process. Performs other duties as assigned.Skills & Competencies:
G code programming. CNC operation. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to read and comprehend basic English Ability to follow instructions Efficient management of time and resources. Ability to perform all assigned tasks; ability to work independently or as part of a team; ability to complete work on schedule. Ability to develop and execute a detailed daily plan based on priorities given.Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Machining or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Previous CNC experience (operation/programming). 3-5 years' experience in machining or manufacturing preferred.Work Environment & Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit/stand/walk 12 hrs. per day. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot/cold environments.Similar remote jobs
