CNC Lathe Technician Franklin, MA 02038 $27.55 - $39.60 an hour - Full-time $27.55 - $39.60 an hour - Full-time About the Role As a CNC Lathe Specialist, you will drive manufacturing efficiency by managing complex machine setups and optimizing production workflows. You will play a critical role in ensuring high-precision output by leveraging your expertise in G-code programming and advanced measurement techniques to maintain superior quality standards. Responsibilities Execute complex setups for CNC lathes, ensuring all tooling and workholding are optimized for high-volume production runs. Interpret intricate blueprints and apply GD&T standards to verify that all components meet exact engineering specifications. Perform real-time program adjustments using G and M code to improve cycle times and part consistency. Utilize precision measuring instruments, including CMM and optical comparators, to validate part integrity throughout the production process. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues and minimize downtime on automated equipment. Maintain a high level of autonomy by managing your own workflow and following technical documentation to complete challenging assignments. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (Level 2 or 3 equivalent). Advanced proficiency in operating and setting up Okuma lathes with Fanuc or Okuma controllers. Strong command of G-code and M-code programming for minor edits and troubleshooting. Expertise in reading blueprints and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Demonstrated ability to operate a wide range of inspection tools, from hand gauges to CMMs. Preferred Skills Experience in high-mix or high-volume automated manufacturing environments. Background in lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives. Technical certification in CNC machining or related mechanical trades.
