certified CNC machine shop founded in 2021. We primarily serve the medical device industry, with additional customers in the aerospace and defense sectors. Description and Responsibilities Manufacturing Engineers & CNC Programmers at LHM Engineering are responsible for programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating CNC milling equipment including 5-axis machining centers with automation in both prototype and production environments. LHM primarily programs in Autodesk Fusion 360, but we also utilize Mastercam and SolidWorks on certain projects. Our 5-axis mills are Hermle machines equipped with Heidenhain controls and 60 pallet automation cells, and we also run Brother Speedio 3-axis machines for secondary operations and simpler components. This role is ideal for those looking to work with a large amount of autonomy in a small shop with high-end equipment and demanding customers. LHM is a fun and collaborative place to work for passionate engineers, machinists, and programmers. This role includes both hands-on setting up of your own jobs as well as collaborating with set-up personnel to transfer processes effectively. Engineers at LHM also regularly contribute to improvement projects such as custom shop software, templated workflows, automation integration, optimized assembly, and inspection workflows. This is a day-shift position, but exact start and end times can be flexible based on your commute and other factors if you prefer an early morning start or a shifted evening finish time. Skills & Qualifications Extensive experience programming and setting up CNC machines is required. Experience with 5-axis machining, Heidenhain controls, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Mastercam is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or another relevant engineering/software discipline is preferred but not required. Applicants with very strong CNC programming and CAD/CAM experience will be highly considered without a degree. Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints are required. Experience with common metrology equipment is required; CMM programming/operation experience is welcome but not required. Experience with software development, automation, or post-processor modification is welcome but is not required. Demonstrated willingness to develop and adopt new workflows, improve efficiency, and collaborate/mentor others is required. Experience working within a Quality Management System such as an ISO-13485, ISO-9001, or AS9100 certified facility is preferred.Pay:
