The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry components from standard and exotic metals, supporting mission-critical civilian and defense programs. Job Purpose The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to meet established standards of quality, productivity, and delivery within the assigned work cell. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes Take full responsibility for CNC programming and process execution for assigned parts and equipment Improve manufacturing processes through tooling recommendations, fixture design, and cycle time optimization Collaborate with machinists, operators, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and accurate production Support new product introduction (NPI) and maintain high standards on repeat production work Ensure all programs and processes meet quality requirements, including GD&T standards Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput Maintain accurate documentation including work instructions and program revisions Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures Requirements Minimum of five (5) years of CNC programming experience (mills and/or lathes) Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Experience with multi-axis machining (3, 4, and/or 5-axis) Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or similar) preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and continuous improvement Compensation $40.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience Benefits Primus Aerospace offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, with coverage beginning the 1st of the month following your date of hire: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Short- and Long-term disability insurance 401(k) with company match Short- and Long-term incentive plans Paid Time Off (PTO) 10 paid holidays Work Authorization To comply with U.S. Government international trade regulations (ITAR), applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 Our work environment is fast-paced and professional while providing continued growth fostered by our commitment to teamwork.
