Pay is up to $30.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Schedule is 7:30am - 4:00pm. We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with 3-5 years of experience to join our manufacturing team in Northern Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong CNC programming and machining skills who can work independently and effectively with a production team. Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for production machining.
- Program CNC mills, lathes, and/or machining centers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Create efficient toolpaths using CAD/CAM software.
- Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and work holding methods.
- Set up and prove out CNC programs and adjust as necessary.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining problems.
- Optimize programs to improve cycle times, tool life, efficiency, and part quality.
- Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel.
- Perform first-piece inspections and make programming adjustments when required.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and related documentation.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process. Compensation & Benefits

- 3-5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Gibbs CAM, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and machining processes.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or machining education preferred. Preferred Experience
- 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machining.
- Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
- Tight-tolerance or complex component machining.
- Precision manufacturing or production machining.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement practices.
