In this vital role, you will develop, optimize, and implement laser cutting programs that ensure high-quality production while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute directly to the success of our manufacturing operations, empowering us to deliver exceptional products to our clients. Duties Develop and write CNC laser cutting programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA. Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining processes. Set up and calibrate CNC laser machines, including adjusting tooling, focusing optics, and verifying machine parameters for optimal performance. Monitor production runs, troubleshoot issues related to laser settings or tooling, and make real-time adjustments to maintain precision. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, machine settings, and inspection reports for traceability and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and machinists to improve machining processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming for laser cutting equipment. Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and schematics interpretation. Experience with CNC laser machinery setup, calibration, and operation within a manufacturing environment. Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC lathe and milling machines. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges for quality assurance. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows and reduce waste. Strong math skills including geometry and measurement calculations, are necessary for precise programming.
