We specialize in building checking fixtures/gages , and thermoforming/vacuum forming tools, trim nests, and for our loyal customers. We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist who can take a project from CAD data through programming and machining, while helping keep multiple projects moving efficiently. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands both CNC programming and precision machining and takes pride in producing accurate, quality work. What You'll Do Program and create efficient CNC toolpaths offline from 2D and 3D CAD data. Develop programs with accuracy, machining efficiency, and tool life in mind. Work with a variety of CNC controls, including Tiger 7, Haas, Siemens, and Anilam. We can provide on the job training if you're not familiar with all of these controls. Use WorkNC and Fusion for CAM programming. Experience with other CAM software is also welcome. Program and machine unique tools out of aluminum, renboard and pine. Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and 3D CAD models. Perform minor CAD surfacing work when needed for CNC programming, tool runout, and other machining requirements. Provide plots, angles, dimensions, center points, and other information needed to support the build department. Help prioritize projects and coordinate work with other CNC machine operators to keep projects moving and machines running. Communicate with the build department and other team members to resolve problems and keep projects moving forward. Run CNC machines when needed and assist with setups, offsets, tooling, and machining. Troubleshoot programming and machining issues and determine practical solutions. Maintain a focus on quality, accuracy, productivity, and customer requirements. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist is required. Strong understanding of precision machining and tight-tolerance manufacturing. Experience programming CNC machines from 2D drawings and 3D CAD models. Experience with CAM software; WorkNC and/or Fusion experience is highly desirable. But we will certainly consider other softwares. Ability to work with multiple CNC controls. Experience with Tiger 7, Haas, Siemens, or Anilam is a plus, but we're willing to catch you up to speed on them in-house. Strong math and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Good understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining techniques. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Willingness to step in and run machines when needed. Experience with thermoforming/vacuum forming tools, trim nests, or checking fixtures is beneficial, but not required.
