Job Description

Swiss CNC Programmer Grand Rapids, MI | $90K-$115K + Benefits | A-Shift and C-Shift available A growing precision manufacturing company in the Grand Rapids area is seeking a hands-on Swiss CNC Programmer / CNC Process Engineer to support CNC programming, setups, troubleshooting, and process improvement in a tight-tolerance machining environment. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys more than just programming — someone who can improve machining processes, support production, work closely with operators, and help drive quality and efficiency on the floor. What You'll Be Doing Program and support Swiss-style CNC lathe operations Assist with setups, prove-outs, troubleshooting, and production support Improve cycle times, tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining efficiency Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings Work closely with production and quality teams on tight-tolerance parts Support operators with process improvements and best practices Help reduce downtime, scrap, and inefficiencies through hands-on problem solving What We're Looking For 3+ years of Swiss CNC lathe programming experience CAD/CAM programming experience; Esprit experience strongly preferred Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, setup, and machining knowledge Experience with tooling, speeds, feeds, and process improvement Tight-tolerance machining experience Aerospace, medical, automotive, or precision manufacturing background preferred Hands-on, team-oriented, continuous improvement mindset #
