Job Description

CNC Programmer / Senior CNC Programmer
  • Marquette, MI (Onsite)
  • Full-Time, $100k
  • 115k Position Overview A growing precision manufacturing organization is seeking CNC Programmers to support production and new product development in a highly regulated environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex components where precision, repeatability, and process control are critical. Candidates will play a key role in developing machining strategies, improving processes, and supporting production from concept through validation. Senior-level candidates will have the opportunity to lead advanced programming initiatives and mentor technical teams. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs Support machine setup, prove-outs, and first article runs. Design and implement tooling and fixturing to ensure consistent production. Improve machining processes to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and increase efficiency. Support new product introduction and transition from engineering to production. Conduct capability studies and assist with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ). Troubleshoot machining and quality issues using structured problem-solving methods. Standardize programming practices and support training of operators and setup technicians. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure process stability. Additional Responsibilities (Senior Level) Lead complex multi-axis programming and machining strategies. Establish processes for new product launches. Serve as a technical resource and mentor within the team. Support capital equipment selection and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
CNC machining certificate, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience. Experience programming and setting up CNC equipment in a production environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
Preferred:
5+ years of CNC experience Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with validation processes and documentation. CAM software proficiency and multi-axis machining experience. Work Environment Precision manufacturing environment requiring high attention to detail. Hands-on role involving collaboration across engineering and production teams. Focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
