Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer specializing in Mastercam software to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and implement CNC machining programs for a variety of complex parts and components in the Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work with advanced CNC machinery, including 5-axis CNC machines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop 3 - 5-axis programs utilizing Mastercam to program and optimize CNC machines for milling and CBN grind operations, meeting the highest quality and efficiency standards. Collaborate with the design team and engineers to convert CAD models into precise machining programs and provide input on design modifications for manufacturability. Continuously identify opportunities to enhance processes and implement best practices in CNC machining to increase productivity and reduce lead times. Ensure the final products meet or exceed customer specifications, maintaining strict quality control standards. Work with a variety of machines, including multi-axis CNC mills and provide expertise in optimizing operations on these machines. Maintain accurate records of machining programs, machine setups, and tooling used for future reference. Understand and apply knowledge of feeds and speeds for standard material (tool steel, aluminum, mild steel). Design custom CBN wheels as needed for grind applications.
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum five years of experience as a Mastercam programmer with a strong background in CNC Machining. Proficient in
CAD/CAM, NX
software. Five or more years of machining experience, including CNC mills, Haas, Doosan, etc. Formal technical schooling in Manufacturing, CNC Machining, CAD/CAM, Journeyman or equivalent. Experience designing hydraulic and conventional clamping fixtures for machining applications is preferred. Experience with aerospace and/or industrial gas turbine manufacturing. Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T). Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality results. Strong Technical Communication. Excellent time management in the face of multiple time sensitive projects.
Physical Requirements:
This position is moderately active and may require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching in a manufacturing environment. The ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including sitting at a computer desk for an extended period of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures including in a shop and shared office environment. Exposure to moderate shop environment noise level.
