This position requires a highly skilled machinist capable of independently processing parts from blueprint to finished component. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC lathes and/or mills, be proficient in conversational programming (Mazatrol experience preferred), and possess the ability to determine proper machining methods, tooling, and inspection requirements. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications Determine proper machining processes and operation sequences Set up CNC machines independently Perform at-the-machine programming and program edits Program and operate CNC equipment using conversational controls (Mazatrol preferred) Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding Run first-piece and production parts Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment Verify parts meet print specifications and quality requirements Troubleshoot machining and process issues as needed Maintain safe and organized work areas Qualifications Minimum 10 years of CNC machining experience Strong setup and machine-side programming experience required Experience with conversational programming; Mazatrol experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds/speeds, and materials Ability to independently process and manufacture precision components Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment CAD/CAM experience is not required Preferred Experience Mazak / Mazatrol controls Okuma / Oluma controls Hurco / Hurco conversational Tight tolerance machining Prototype and short-run production work Multi-operation part processing Experience machining a variety of materials including steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and exotic alloys Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Health benefits Paid time off Stable, clean manufacturing environment You should be proficient in:
