This is a skilled position where the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience and a firm understanding of CNC G&M codes, program structure and software (e.g. Mastercam/WorkNC). Entry level candidates need not apply. Responsibilities (examples of work performed) Develop, write, and optimize 2D, 3D and 5-Axis CNC programs in WorkNC and Mastercam Interpret shop detail prints, dimensions and tolerances to determine machining strategy and sequence (speeds, feeds, stepovers, stepdowns, etc..) Perform 2D and 3D setups, run bridge mills and boring mills where necessary Maintain and organize standardized tooling, holders, inserts and cutter selections for shop use Make program revisions and corrections based upon shop floor feedback Troubleshoot and resolve machine program related issues (faults, cutter breakdown, dimensional variations). Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, micrometers and calipers Collaborate with engineering and tryout Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Demonstrate strong math skills essential for precise measurement calculations and programming adjustments. BASIC Qualifications (if not met, applicants need not apply) Minimum 5 years of basic CNC experience 2-3 Years of programming experience (Mastercam or WorkNC) Able to operate Fanuc & Heidenhain controllers Preferred Skills Die or Tool related CNC material machining experience (D2, S7, 4140, Cast) Able to identify die components/sections and their applications

Employment Type:

Hourly, Full-time (Monday - Friday, overtime expected when necessary on Saturdays for 5 hour days) Reports directly to Machinist Leader for duties Answers to Shop Foreman for all else

Compensation:

Starting at $26/hr, negotiable based upon experience.
