ABOUT THE ROLE
Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp division, is seeking a 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am+15% shift premium) CNC Programmer, responsible for supporting the production and maintenance operations of the plant, with a focus on CNC machining support and improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Primary Function Summary Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings Support the Company's Goals and Objectives Collaborate with engineering, for writing and updating operator instructions Responsible to train team leaders on set up, repair of programs and tooling, machine troubleshooting and log accordingly Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe Required to investigate and implement improvement CNC machining processes in order to optimize machines capability to achieve better efficiency Responsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly department Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices Responsible for leading all Preventative Maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and equipment improvements in assembly operation Responsible for new product launches from setup to first off as coordinated with Engineering and Maintenance Serves in the capacity of waste water handler commensurate with completion of proper training Required to utilize advance production readiness Support Engineering with tool and work holding sections during APQP Responsible for replacing or repairing damaged tools or work holding for all CNC machines
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Including program modifications and tooling improvements Usage of computer, printer, calculator and machinery control panels Possess working knowledge of
IATF 16949, ISO
14001, and Q1 compliance criteria High school diploma or GED Some college and/or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred
